Disney Cruise Line Adds Tortola and Martinique Stops in 2016

Disney Cruise Line has announced that it will add Tortola and Martinique to select sailings in early 2016. The Disney Fantasy will sail 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailings out of Port Canaveral that will include a stop in Tortola on nine cruises from January through April, 2016. The Disney Magic will sail 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailings out of Port Canaveral that include a stop in Tortola on April 3 and 17, 2106.037

The Disney Wonder will return to San Juan, Puerto Rico in January 2016 for 7-night Southern Caribbean cruises that include a stop in Martinique. The departure dates are January 10, 17, 24, and 31, 2016. Early 2016 sailings opened for booking to Gold and Platinum Castaway Club Members on 10/29/14 and to the general public on 10/30/14.

Morimoto Asia and BOATHOUSE Dining Experiences Coming to Disney Springs in 2015

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto is opening his first Pan-Asian restaurant, featuring flavors from across the continent, in Disney Springs (the re-imagined Downtown Disney) in Summer 2015. The restaurant will be located at The Landing (formerly known as Pleasure Island) and will have two stories of interior dining, waterside dining, a cocktail lounge, and a Grand Hall. The menu will feature Asian classics such as Peking Carved Duck and dim sum. The BOATHOUSE will open in Spring 2015 and will also be located at The Landing and will feature waterfront dining as well as guided boat tours and amphicar tours (think the Duck Boats in NYC and Boston that sail on water and drive on land).

Tickets for the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on November 7, 2014, are sold out. Tickets are currently still available for the remaining dates - November 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, and 30, and December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 19.

Sorcerer's Hat to be Removed From Hollywood Studios

The large Sorcerer's Hat at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which has been the park's icon, will be removed in early 2015. The Hat was originally added in 2001, for the 100 Years of Magic celebration.

'Glow With the Show' Becomes 'Made With Magic'

The "Glow With the Show" Ears that light up and interact with nighttime shows and fireworks at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, have evolved! A whole new line of "Made With Magic" merchandise is being introduced this Fall will include the original ear hat, a Minnie Mouse headband, a Mickey Mouse glove, and a Sorcerer's Wand. The Wand will actually have the ability to control the light patterns of the other items! Each item will retail for $25.00 each and will begin to appear in stores in late October and roll out through the holiday season.

Big Hero 6 Meet and Greet To Replace Wreck It Ralph

The current Wreck It Ralph meet and greet in the Magic of Disney Animation building at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be replaced in mid-November by a Big Hero 6 meet and greet. Guests will be able to meet both Baymax and Hiro in Hiro's garage.
